Buy a home
Buying a home.
Whether it is your first home or your fifth, the hard part is knowing what you can actually afford and what each option really costs. That is the part we do with you.
How it goes
01
Work out your number
Before you tour anything, we look at what you could borrow and what the monthly cost would be at different down payments.
02
Get prequalified
A prequalification letter shows sellers you are serious. We put one together once we have the picture of your finances.
03
Compare the options
When you have a property in mind, we compare what our lender panel puts forward and set the trade-offs out side by side.
04
Get to closing
Your advisor handles the underwriting conditions, the appraisal and the closing table, and tells you what is needed when.
Worth knowing
- There is no cost to talk it through, and no obligation to go ahead.
- A prequalification is not a commitment to lend — every loan stays subject to lender approval.
- How long each step takes varies by lender and by what your file needs.
